TUBA Breast Augmentation Recovery
What to Expect After Alabama TUBA Breast AugmentationAs the local anesthetic wears off after TUBA surgery, patients may experience some discomfort and swelling in the chest and abdomen. Pain is usually mild and easily controlled with pain medication. Women whose implants are placed under the muscle (subpectoral) may experience more soreness than patients who choose an over the muscle (subglandular) placement. Post-operative nausea is common and can be caused by the anesthesia used during surgery and pain medications taken afterward. Take an antacid liquid (such as Pepto-Bismol) or tablets (such as Akla-Seltzer) to provide relief in case of nausea. To avoid nausea, drink plenty of fluids and eat small, frequent meals that are light on the stomach. The bandage placed over the belly button incision can be removed the day after surgery, allowing you to shower at that time. A sports bra or post-surgical bra for support should be worn for about 2 weeks. The important thing for the first few days after TUBA breast augmentation surgery is to take it easy, get plenty of rest and follow all of your post-op instructions. Most women can resume non-strenuous activities within a couple of days after transumbilical belly button breast augmentation. More vigorous physical activity and any heavy lifting should be avoided for about 4 weeks. |
